IQM Quantum Computers is implementing a company-wide restructuring programme focusing on key strategic areas for the next growth phase. We initially designed the company for startup success. However, our vision extends to reaching new heights and achieving sustainable growth.
This restructuring programme is a crucial step towards ensuring that IQM is well positioned to meet the demands of our dynamic industry, foster innovation, and drive excellence across key strategic areas in the next growth phase.
We had more than 300 full-time employees at the end of January 2024, and the programme is estimated to potentially impact less than 50 of our employees globally. Local change negotiations with employee representatives started in January 2024. The process is being carried out in line with local legislation. We will be providing further information as appropriate.
We understand the psychological impact on our team members. We have maintained open lines of communication and are determined to carry out the negotiations in a constructive spirit. We are also committed to supporting those who may be affected,” says Mikko Välimäki, Co-CEO, IQM Quantum Computers.
Recognizing that this process will be challenging to many, the programme is important to secure our basis for long-term growth and competitiveness.”
